TDA Receives Six OHSPRA 2026 Awards

A strategic communications plan is an essential function for every school district. TDA partners with school districts throughout Ohio to develop communication assets. Our team is proud to be an active member of the Ohio School Public Relations Association (OHSPRA).

At this year’s annual conference, we earned six awards, including a “Best of the Best” for a social media campaign produced in collaboration with Cuyahoga Falls City Schools during construction of their 6-12 campus.

We received four Marks of Distinction and a Mark of Excellence for professional video production, news writing, school PR marketing graphics, and special purpose publications. This recognition reflects our commitment to elevating the work done by educators across Ohio.

OHSPRA is an important organization for School Public Relations professionals dedicated to district improvement. It provides essential professional development and resources necessary to strengthen the connection between schools and their communities.

The conference was a success. We look forward to continuing to support districts through communications that drive engagement and represent the incredible stories happening each day inside our schools.

2026 Best of the Best Social Media Campaign

Cuyahoga Falls 6-12 Campus "Black Tiger Tours"

The “Black Tiger Tours” was a 12-part, multi-month campaign of educational videos produced to inform the community about the spaces under construction and how they were designed to enhance the educational experience for the next generation of students. The district’s Positive Behavioral Intervention Support staff also used the videos as tools to help alleviate student stress about moving into the new campus.

The series was noted and republished through the Akron Beacon Journal and their local newspaper. The video covering Safety and Security was highlighted in a report on school safety in the summer of 2025, making it a widely utilized and distributed resource.

The Wickliffe Family Resource Center: Partnership with Signature Health

The Wickliffe Family Resource Center (WFRC) is operated by the Wickliffe City School District in partnership with Signature Health in Lake County. It is a unique organization that brings together support services and educational resources that enhance the well-being of students, families, and community members.

A six-part video documentary series brought together school administrators, the CEO of Signature Health, along with other healthcare practitioners, students, and community members to share their stories about the impact the center is having on the lives of families and individuals in the surrounding communities.

Mentor CARES House: Autistic Education Comes Home

Mentor Public Schools operates the Mentor Cardinal Autism Resource and Education School (CARES). A first-of-its-kind, fully customized house was designed by TDA architects and built to create a unique learning environment to better serve students with autism. The CARES house provides an authentic home environment for teaching life skills to students outside the classroom setting, greatly enhancing their ability to gain independence skills for post-graduation success.

The CARES Program was established in 2011 and has made a huge impact on the families who use it, but the program is relatively unknown to the broader autism community. Working closely with CARES Director Christy LaPaglia, we developed a documentary, an accompanying article, a 20-page informational brochure for distribution, and a learning session lecture delivered at the 2025 Ohio School Board Association’s Capital Conference.

The produced materials were distributed to over 15 autism partner agencies, including the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, to raise awareness of the CARES Program and to serve as a template for other organizations across the nation.

Rocky River's Transformative Renovation

Rocky River City Schools was experiencing a decline in their student meal enrollment and decided to improve the school’s dining experience by investing in a transformative renovation of their high school kitchen, servery, and dining spaces.

Prerequisites of the project improvements included not increasing the square footage of the existing spaces, blending aesthetically with the rest of the school’s décor, preserving some of the existing historic features and materials, and modernizing the facility to be durable for decades to come.

The interior designer and project architect explained how they met the challenges and exceeded the school district’s expectations.

Strengthening School Identity: New Gym Mural Anchors Fairport Harbor Spirit

While Fairport Harbor EVSD was deep into the construction progress of their new PreK-12 Campus, they asked our team to create a large-scale mural that would capture the spirit of the local community to enliven their new competition gymnasium. The 86′ x 23′ graphic was commissioned to take the themes of historic local iconography and invoke a compelling visual that would inspire the next generation of Fairport Harbor students.

Our team expanded the concept created by a local artist, and adopted district feedback to design a provocative mural with nautical elements, storms, waves, and the Fairport Harbor anchor. The final rendering was revealed and received praise from the community, and is a standout feature in the gymnasium, breathing new life into the school’s athletic brand.

Building the Future: A Digital Home for North Ridgeville's High School Design & Construction

After the passage of a bond issue to fund North Ridgeville City School’s new high school, the school district commissioned TDA to create a website to promote transparency of the design and construction process, and to assure the community that their investment was in the right hands.

We developed a Google Site to host all building-related information. Linked on the district homepage, the building construction webpage contained updates, videos, reports, images, and diagrams.
