Scope: 226,000 New SF / 1,335 students / $30.5 million (co-funded by the OSFC)

Design Highlights & Challenges:

• New school designed for historic Union-Miles neighborhood
• Flexibly planned as three (3) self-supporting academies or as 9-12th grade general high school
• Media center designed as community space
• All classrooms have natural light and auditory enhancement devices; studies prove this increases learning aptitude in students
• Every classroom wired for technology with LCD projectors, computers and telephones
• Athletic complex, including 5,000 seat stadium, also planned for site
