The construction administrator is an architect who oversees project completion during all phases by tracking quality and maintaining deadlines. The person in this position conducts core meetings, provides site visits, and cultivates strong relationships with clients and vendors. The construction administrator secures quality, resolves issues, documents progress, and keeps the project moving forward to ensure success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and understand project specifications and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with technical consultants/engineers to ensure that the contract documents and the Owner-Architect contract obligations are met throughout construction.
  • Assist in the preparation of Architect’s Supplemental Instructions (ASI’s) and Bulletins.
  • Review Contractor Change Order Requests and Payment Applications.
  • Perform punch list site visits; author and issue final report(s).
  • Review project closeout documents.
  • Receive/log, review, return, and track the submittal process.
  • Actively observe construction progress to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure compliance with contracts and building and code requirements.
  • Prepare detailed field observation reports to document progress and address any issues promptly.
  • Facilitate core meetings to ensure seamless coordination among project stakeholders.
  • Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Regularly communicate project updates to all relevant parties.
  • Able to travel and/or work remotely (from local construction sites or project locales).
  • Ability to work cooperatively with the project team, including but not limited to owners, engineers, testing agencies, authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), and contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in architecture, with at least 5 years in construction administration.
  • Demonstrated passion for maintaining quality control and excellence in construction.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members both in-office and on-site.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Microsoft suite, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and other construction management software.

    • Interpret design concepts by collaborating with project team and translating into workable plans

Qualifications:

    • Registered Architect
    • LEED Certification is a plus
    • 10+ years of work experience with large scale projects
    • Revit Software proficiency

Your Role:

Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in education and municipal projects
    • State of Ohio Professional Architect License
    • Proficient in Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office 365
